Tjimme 275

Tjimme died at 24 years of age in January 2003.  He was an authorized Friesian stallion. He was one of the preeminent Friesian stallions in the world. He was extremely popular as a breeding stallion in the Netherlands and was bred to more than 100 mares the last year he was standing in Holland. He was brought to Texas in 1990 and certainly rated as one of the very finest Friesian stallions standing in North America.

We have a limited store of Tjimme's frozen semen.  Tjimme's legacy will live on through his offspring and progeny.

Tjimme 275... a fine example of the "classical" Friesian stallion.

Tjimme was a magnificent horse. He was accomplished in dressage. He was beautiful, strong, athletic, and very gentle. He measured 16.2 hands and was a fine example of the "classical" Friesian stallion. Tjimme had a phenomenal personality. He was calm and endearing. He knew where your feet are, and he avoided stepping on them. He was child safe. Tjimme was a truly remarkable animal. One could easily forget that he was a mighty stallion, a gentle but noble representative of the breed of horses that carried the knights in battle.

Tjimme had an extraordinary disposition: It was easy to forget he was a mighty stallion.

Tjimme was well known for his fine physical attributes and his extraordinary disposition and personality. These are all traits that he passes onto his offspring with regularity. When the Dutch judges came for the keuring each fall, they greeted Tjimme as a dear old friend. Without question, Tjimme made his mark for the Friesian breed, because he represented all that is great about Friesian horses. But his real contributions were and will continue to be his offspring and progeny. Tjimme babies grow up to be magnificent Friesian horses--much like their sire.

NOT BREEDING OUTSIDE MARES!

In 1999, Tjimme developed problems with arthritis of the stifles and could not mount the phantom. As a result we could not ship cooled semen and have been unable to breed outside mares.

If you want a Tjimme foal out of your Friesian mare, you may have waited too long. Instead, we offer you spectacular Tjimme babies and progeny that will carry on his magnificent legacy. Click here for a current listing of Tjimme offspring for sale.

GRAND OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE APPROXIMATELY 349 DOSES OF TJIMME 275 FROZEN SEMEN AND HIS EXCLUSIVE BREEDING RIGHTS.  Contact ffi@fantasyfriesiansinc.com for information.

When Tjimme was breeding, we were charging $200 a dose and $1,000 for a breeding certificate.  If a breeding required 3 doses, the charge would be $1,600; 4 doses, $1,800.

For the purpose of discussion, there is enough frozen semen for approximately 87 breedings (at 4 doses per breeding).  This would translate to $156,600 at 1999 prices.  But Tjimme's semen cannot be replaced and should bring higher fees.  Do the math.
