Fantasy Visit to Waxahachie, Texas |
PLEASE come and visit us and see our Friesian horses. Make it a special trip. See our lovely town. Have some fun.
Waxahachie is a charming Texas town, thirty minutes south of Dallas. The name comes from an Indian word which means "Buffalo Creek." Waxahachie was first settled in the 1850's and soon became a bustling commercial center. Waxahachie is the county seat of Ellis County; its landmark county courthouse was built of red granite 100 years ago and is considered an architectural gem. James Michener called it "a fairy tale palace...one of the finest buildings in Texas". Waxahachie has many beautifully restored "ginger bread" houses and some very nice restaurants.
Come and vist us and enjoy our historic Texas town.
